One of the first things I said when I was engaged was "No bling whatsoever". I really didn't deem myself a sparkle girl, but I went into dress shopping promising my mom (and myself) that I would be open minded and would try on any and all styles. In the end, I had a small jeweled waist line around my dress and I loved it. It's really true, you often end up picking a dress totally different from what you originally thought you wanted!

These pieces will set you back a few hundred dollars, but they make a huge statement. I am loving the custom line that she did for J-Crew. (Side Note: You can also find similar pieces that are more budget friendly on etsy, or try making one yourself!)
