With the first day of spring just around the corner, it's time to start thinking flowers!
I always say, the day I win one hundred million dollars the first thing I am doing is scheduling weekly flower deliveries to my home. There is honestly NOTHING better than a bunch of fresh blooms to brighten up a room.
At the risk of being the most basic bitch at the ball, peony season is my jam. But I have other favorites as well. Here they are in no particular order:
Peony - Duh! Every shade is perfection
Hydrangea - Give me all colors
Hydrangea - Give me all colors
Ranunculus - Blush pink (The peony's step sister)
Roses - White only for this gal
Calla Lillies - White only again
Now that you have a great big bundle of your favorite blooms, you need a home for it and I'm not talking your run of the mill, clear gift-with-purchase vase.
Give the arrangement some character with an out of the box, conversation piece (those gold hands kill me)!
Turn a cookie jar, or mason jar into your vase. Try a blue and white ginger jar that you might already have displayed on a shelf, or an old burned out candle that came in a beautiful glass jar.
The options are endless here!
Above I've rounded up some of my favorites above!
Pro Tip: Take a flower arranging class with some girlfriends. Its a fun Saturday activity and there REALLY is a difference between a novice and master when it comes to floral placement!
Happy Decorating!
